Jake the salesman providing information was excellent. Once a contract was signed everything changed. They couldn't keep the proposed schedule which they accepted, either for the pickup or the delivery putting us in a bind. The scheduler never returned calls. Everything was packed well by us before the movers arrived except for a 3rd generation heirloom table. The 3-person pick-up team did an excellent job carefully wrapping and taping the table to prevent damage.

A 1-person delivery team arrived 2 days late and with a significant number of broken boxes. The truck was packed with furniture for a number of different clients. Everything was a haphazard mess! The single delivery person haphazardly perched on top of a 6ft stepladder pulled items belonging to us and other clients from the top of the pile, toppling them onto the ground trying to unload the truck and fined our items. Everything was treated like garbage.

Precious items were broken. The wrapping of our heirloom table had been partially removed prior to delivery and the table was badly damaged. It had certainly been dropped, unpacked to review the damage, and not repacked very well at all. The corner was broken, and the table was severely scratched.

I have called several times to place an insurance claim with no response. They only give you 2 days to file and never pick up the phone. This is not a moving company that you would ever want to use!!!!!!

This experience of moving our household goods has been one of our best. From Stephanie in the office to both crews at pickup and delivery.

The moving crews arrived on time and prepared and took ownership of their work. Our goods were safely moved into our house. Best part is there wasn't any damage to any of the walls in our new home. You hear often about horror stories with moving companies. For us, this was one of the best teams we've worked with and I highly recommend Always 1 Moving to anyone moving. Again, thank you!!!

My boyfriend and I were moving from NJ to CT in March. I spoke to the manager Evan who gave me a fair quote on what it would be to move. After reviewing the paperwork, we decided to move forward with them. We were supposed to be moving on a Saturday, we got a call from one of the movers on the previous Thursday saying that they needed to move us on Friday instead of Saturday because their workers needed a Saturday off. On the phone they made it seem as though if they moved us on Saturday that they would then not be able to deliver the same day and our items would have to go in storage, we reluctantly agreed to Friday. They came Friday moving and began moving out stuff in the truck in which they then told us that we would have to go over our cubic square amount and cost extra, we agreed to pay a little more for a certain number of cubic feet to end on. We paid half of the amount at pickup in cash and we were to pay the other half upon delivery. When we were driving to CT, one of the movers Juan, texted me and said that HE messed up the price and accidentally took off an extra discount and stated it would then be about $350 more at delivery, I argued this point stating that it was not my fault that he messed up the numbers and I will be paying the price we agreed upon at delivery. Upon delivery, Juan and the movers began unloading our items but stopped unloading until we paid them. Unfortunately in order to get our stuff we had to pay them the "new price". They then unloaded all of our stuff and dropped a few boxes of glass items as well. I reached out to Evan to explain all of this and he referred me to the claims center. From the claims center, I emailed back and forth with Carolina who stated that my glass items were only worth $50 that they would reimburse me (which they were not, they were worth more than that). I also spoke to her and Evan regarding the additional charge after the already agreed upon price and they said that it was a mistake and would not reimburse us. This was an already difficult time that was made incredibly more frustrating by this company. We ended up paying roughly $1000 more than we were quoted. I would not recommend them or ever use them again with all the stress we have gone through that day and months after that.

Where to even begin with this deceitful, crooked, lying, belligerent excuse for a company. Daniel promised everything and was never available as everything went wrong. They hiked the price three times. They delivered furniture broken, mutilated, and missing parts. They missed two large under the counter kitchen areas at the pick-up house which means they left crock pots, steamers and all types of kitchen ware. They lost all bolts/screws for our Nordic Track running machine and said 'so what' when asked about it. They extorted an additional $2500 at the end of the trip or said they would not deliver the furniture (they never stood by their agreements). When attempting to get reimbursed for all damage they said they would pay $250, no more and to this day (6 September 2022) they have not even paid the $250. They lied that the $250 has been sent but won’t provide a USPS tracking number, a certified mail tracking or anything else (it was never sent, another lie). On the phone they are rude, belligerent, aggressive and hot tempered and will lie outright to you on the phone. From top to bottom this is a criminal enterprise. When it’s time for payment they demand Postal Money Orders, you cannot use a credit card or check. AVOID Always 1 Moving & Storage Inc, use anyone except them.

I been in the military for 20+ years and never had the issues I have with thus company. First they quoted $7ks and I ended up paying $17ks. Second they lost our stuff and we got our shipmet almost 4 weeks later. Third, halve of my furniture, computer monitor, book shelves, bedroon sets came in broken or damaged. Fourth, comunicasion was horrendous and when we finally contacted someone thuy had no idea wat was going on. Now they offer to pay $200 for the damage. That don't even cover the computer monitor. My advise stay away from this so called movers.

We moved from NYC to Nashville.

4 items were missing: 2 marshal speakers, apple and bose earbuds. All items were brand new. I called customer support to resolve the situation and left them a voice mail.

This is very frustrating.

Additionally, they also tried to charge us extra $150 upon delivery by asking me to pay $1692 instead of $1542. After I showed the driver the scan of my contract, the driver made a call to his boss and said that the the outstanding balance was $1542 indeed.

Moved from upstate NY to NJ 240mi. 1st est $2290 pd a deposit. After finishing packing gave a detailed inventory price jumped to $3249. After movers packed the truck jumped to $4069. Used lined in truck to say it was 1000cu ft. When I refused to sign was told I would not get my delivery or items w/o signing, so I signed hoping to resolve with the company. Upon delivery refuse to unload till paid. Found out the company was not Always but a moving company in NJ when the dispatcher/owner, Leo refused to take a bdrm set to the 2nd location I paid for unless I gave $400 cash. Call the number for dispatcher and was told it was General Movers in Carlstadt NJ. I was overcharged in mileage and cubic ft. I only had 2 bedroom sets, sm. cottage couch, sm recliner, old radio, 1 vacuum, 1 veggie bin and 57 -70 gal storage boxes and 1 lg. Storage box, 48" TV, 2 mirrors 2 tall pictures. All already packed. They promised to resolve the issues and will no longer call me back or answer my calls

Amy was wonderful on the phone. So knowledgeable and sharing of information. They need to double her salary. I fell for it and booked my daughter’s move from South Carolina to Utah with this company. They are horrible, deceitful, non-existent, non-communicative and a huge rip off. They picked up our move on October 24, 2022. Then nothing! I have been calling non-stop. No return calls. Items to be delivered on 11/16. Nothing. Then the lies begin, truck problems. Ghosting again. Called 11/17 and got the number for the driver. He is in New Jersey and will not leave for Salt Lake City until 11/18 and should be there in four days, I think, because he barely speaks English! They lie constantly, each time I call. I totally regret not getting a POD and moving that way. Movers Beware! Always #1 Moving is HORRIBLE! Who knows when my daughter will get her belongings. It will be over a month before it’s delivered! Also BEWARE they will increase the cost when they get to your home! They wanted an additional $600 which I told they to start getting items off the truck. This was a very small move. It was then reduced just $150 more. SCAMMERS!

Stay away. Positive reviews are either fake or outliers. Moved with them last summer across country. Paid over 1000 over the estimate (even though I removed large furniture items) and they held our things hostage for 22 business days (33 days) beyond our requested delivery date. People there lie and then relay you to another person. I was moved through 7 people by the end, all deferring responsibilty and having no answers for over a month. It's unacceptable to not have a delivery window and be in the dark for over a month, after moving across country. Living with no things for over a month. And then of course, damaged so much. They also took apart the furniture, and then they don't put it back together if it's ikea. Unbelievably horrible. I would pay money not to go through that again.

DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES USE THESE CLOWNS TO MOVE ANYTHING YOU OWN. They are liars, from the salesperson I first contacted to the "foreman" to everyone who works for this terrible company. The salesperson was my friend though as every sentence he spoke ended with " My Friend". I would never be a friend with such a low life. He said yes to every concern I had, knowing it was not going to happen. Months before the move I indicated moving dates needed and he was always no problem, yes my friend, etc. He is back under his rock now waiting for his next victim. We had been told and believed they would be arriving on a Thursday to pack the truck. From day 1 this was communicated to them, and they said ok. Monday afternoon we are still packing, and they call and say the are coming on Tuesday morning. I told them about the agreement to come Thursday and that we were not ready but they just said they were scheduled for Tuesday at 8:00. Call the office and of course no one picks up or responds to our message. Me and my wife then scramble and pack until midnight. We did get a message that the truck would be there at 2:30. Tried to call them back but no one picked up. The doorknob had confused us with another victim – Tuesday 7:46 AM I wake up to a moving truck backing into my driveway. We still were not done packing. We had to pack as the movers were loading the truck. We left for the new house on Sunday trying to time our arrival to the agreed upon arrival of the moving truck on Monday, late morning. We got there and then waited, and waited, and waited – no one arrived. I called them and the clown who answered the phone starts talking about the window they have for delivery – up to 10 days. We have nothing but a couple of basic items we could fit in the car, 2 cats, and that is it. Spent most of the day trying to call them, no one answers. Slept on a cement floor that night. Next day we call, and the gem states the truck was being loaded at the warehouse on Monday night (this is Tuesday now) should be there some time in the next few days . Very hard to hear here as there were kids screaming in the background. Not sure if she was running a daycare or the kids were hers, but impossible at times to understand her. Gave me a number to someone who didn’t know what I was talking about, just another yes man. Actually got in touch with the driver and he played the part of the hero. The driver was going to be another day to get my items delivered because he said his A/C was not working right. I did not believe the snowflake as what kind of man would say this? Did not cause a stir just said “ok”, knowing it was another lie. Then he calls back and says he will be there on Thursday, he arrived Thursday evening. Then, when they finally get the items to my rental it is a total disaster. All boxes are crushed, looks like they threw them down a flight of stairs. This was more than just a box slipping out of someone’s hand. The boxes were blown out as if dropped from a tall height. Almost looks like it was done purposely. So many items we had packed were destroyed. Family heirlooms, plates, dishes, glasses. We packed the items and paid to move them because we valued them and wanted to keep them. These slime balls do not value anything of yours, believe me. They scratched the new floor on the new constructing rental, so many items ruined and had to be thrown out. Sent pictures of all damage and the offer $100.00, then $250.00. Brand new upright freezer – dents everywhere, refrigerator - dents, window AC units – must have been dropped – cracked, I am afraid to use them again, window fan bent and knob missing – unusable, air compressor – smashed, brand tool box looks like they ran it over – destroyed. I sent them pictures of the crushed boxes and all the items damaged as they requested and nothing came of it. I have had to start my dryer with a pair of pliers since getting it back. I have to do it since other family members tried and got an electrical shock. The joke of the monetary compensation will not cover the dryer repair, the floor damage, or really anything. I went to the Better Business Bureau and nothing came of my complaint. I did notice how professional they sounded in any correspondence on that site. DO NOT BE FOOLED – THEY ARE THE MOST UNPROFESSIONAL BUNCH OF CROOKS OUT THERE. This must be one of the worst, if not the worst moving companies. DO NOT USE THEM FOR ANYTHING. THEY WOULD RUIN A BOWEL MOVEMENT. They should not be in business to do this to another family. Hopefully all who read this will take heed and tell your family and friends to NEVER use this company. They are a bunch of lying thieves. Any positive reviews must be them putting them in as there is no way that I can see this company being great for some and then doing this to me and my family. Stay as far away from them as possible - move yourself or get a real company to do it, not these mutants

"Always #1" is a scam moving company connected to at least nine other companies: "Lighthouse Vanlines," "Express Relocation Systems," "Countrywide Relocation," "All American Van Lines," "Meridian International Movers," "State To State Relocation," "National Moving Service," "Corporate Relocation," and "Relocation Solution." Most of these businesses, if they haven't been shut down yet, all have 1-star reviews on Yelp, similar stories of bait-and-switch tactics or damaged items, and most connected to one man, "Leo" (also goes by Levani). Most are based out of New Jersey (many at the same 333 Veterans Blvd Carlstadt, NJ address) or Georgia, and share different pieces of info (phone #, address, etc—google them if you don't believe me).

I only know this info because I wasted too much of life doing extensive research on them after the numerous issues my family and I had during a very difficult move last year. This was our first big move and we found them because we only had two weeks to get our stuff from Philly to L.A. They pulled a standard bait and switch scam, offering a low-ball estimate and increasing the price after the truck was loaded with our goods (which is illegal). In addition to that and numerous other more minor issues (not able to tell us where our goods were for 2 weeks, not responding to calls, adding extra charges etc), we experienced the following 3 major issues: no license to operate in CA (which is illegal in the state of CA), no Bill of Lading until day of delivery, and also on the delivery day, showing a new contract with new prices and our forged signature.

Luckily, after taking them to court, we got our $2,691 back. I know far more about moving law than I ever hoped to (I am a music teacher goodness' sake!) and know now how many of these businesses operate. They prey on these stressful times and count on people not holding them accountable. My heart goes out to you if you were caught up in their scheme and just know there is action you can take!

Totally rip off!! Starting from Amy. She is a movie star, company should double her salary because the smartest guy can fell, like me. She gave me the lowest estimate and then they start to raise. From an estimate of $2,100 I ended paying $4,500 for a move from New Jersey To Orlando. Amy Promised me a military discount wich I never saw and charged me for a second floor apartment when my apartment was a first flat floor. The movers loaded my stuff in a truck but then they switched to another trailer which was a trick to charge me more. My move got there but half of the stuff was broken. I talk to Sam which is another actor and after a few call he finally answered and apologize but told me that it wasn't his fault to call Emely. After sending Emely about 20 emails and 50 calls she finally answered and gave me instructions to fill out the claim for the insurance, three weeks after I'm still waiting for a call or a respond, so a totally scam!! Do Not! I repeat Do Not use this company.

DO NOT INSULT YOURSELF TO DO BUSINESS WITH A BUNCH OF NOONES. THEY WILL DRAG YOU TO THEIR LEVEL.

Like many people here, I trust the first guy that called me. I have specifically asked about the insurance and the contact person told me your belonging is insured up to 10k. I signed the contract over the phone and paid the initial price. When they came for pick up, they nagged on the price and increased it by $1200. Then at the drop-off, they said there were more than 7 stairs and charged me $150 more for the stairs (they already knew that the delivery was on the second floor and which apartment could be on the second floor and has 7 stairs, do the math). They delivered our stuff at 11 PM and immediately left. They tore up many heavy-duty boxes, broke items, and also chipped almost all wooden items. When we started unpacking, we realized our box of shoes was missing, worth almost $2000 shoes. We called them and informed them about it. We specifically asked them to find our box and we don't want any monetary compensation. After a month, they told us we could not find it for you and based on the contract, we would pay you 60 cents per pound and a box of shoes is going to be $36. I remind them of their agent's interpretation of the insurance involved here but they deny such conversation ever happened. I pressed them and we went and listened to the call. After they realized they told me a lie, they increased their offer to $300 for all the damages including the box of shoes, while $300 barely covers the rest of the damages. I have talked with a lawyer and I am going to take them to court. THEY ARE A FRAUD COMPANY AND I HAVE ENOUGH EVIDENCE TO SHOW THEM WHO THEY REALLY ARE.
